I'd Love to Know You're Here!

I have to admit, I'm trying to up the ante with my technological skills.  I can't count the number of times that someone has been talking about something you can do with the technology or media and then turned to me and said, "You're young.  You can do it."  They couldn't be more wrong.  Sure, I can do the basics like email, search something on the internet, and start a blog.  Beyond that my brain starts spinning a bit, but like I said, I'm trying to change that.

I just went to a short workshop about expanding social media in the congregation and came away with lots of ideas.  I love getting new ideas, so that part of the workshop was inspiring.  Thinking about the skills I will need to hone in order to implement those ideas was more draining.  However, I have to keep reminding myself that I don't have to do this alone, and I can learn!

That said, one of the things I definitely want to improve upon in my blog.  I want this to be a place you want to come to and feel inspired as you leave.  Yet I don't want you to just leave inspired, I want you to leave with practical ideas you can (and want!) to actually do.

With this in mind, it would make my day to:
  1. Know that you are reading.  I love it when someone posts a comment about something they've read.  It's awesome to know that someone has read something I've written and that it's been helpful to them in some way.
  2. Have you become a follower.  I'd love for you to do this not only so that I know you are reading, but also so I  know that my settings are working properly.  There is a place on the right hand column of the blog marked "Follow" that you can click.  When you sign up for this, you should then get an email every time something new is posted.
Thank you in advance for helping me grow in this area!  Thank you also for reading!
