Better Late Than Never!

I know Valentine's Day was almost a month ago, but I wanted to share what our family did for Valentine's Day, not only because we actually did something, but also because I actually remembered to take pictures of the process! :)  Perhaps this is an idea you can use next year, or for Mother's Day, or just for fun.  I got the idea from the February issue of Family Fun Magazine.

Cut out the desired shape from corrugated cardboard

We needed to take out the sunflower seeds from our birdseed

Spread peanut butter on the cardboard cutouts

Press the cutouts into the birdseed

Lie them flat, poke a hole in it, and string with twine or yarn (that picture is not included)

We sent these valentines to Esme and Reid's grandparents and aunts and uncle (and cousins).  We had one left, and Esme decided she wanted to take it "walk to Harold's" and give it to our neighbor.  :)
