Make a Popsicle Nativity Scene

Here's what you'll need for this simple yet cute craft:
Popsicle sticks
Acrylic paint
hot glue gun
pipe cleaners
raffia or other material for a little straw

Begin by painting five popsicle sticks brown.  These will be the outline of the stable.  Allow the sticks to dry.  Cut two of them a little to make the sides of the stable.

Next, cut one of the popsicle sticks in half.  Paint one half to represent Mary and the other to represent Joseph.  Cut another stick in thirds: paint one part like an angel and use a gold pipe cleaner for the halo and collar, if desired.

Cut one of the thirds even smaller and paint it to look like Baby Jesus.  Take the last third and paint it brown.  When it's dry, cut it in half and use it to make a manger by glueing these pieces into an X.  Add the raffia to look like hay, if desired.  Glue the pieces into their places, and voila! you're done.

  1. Love this Kari! I'm thinking of setting up a craft table for the kids at our Christmas get together. This is a fun idea with the right focus. Thanks
