About Me

I'm glad you are here!  Thanks for stopping by.  Nothing gives me greater joy in life than spending time with my family and dear friends.  I am privileged to be a mom, wife, and a pastor at a large congregation in central Minnesota.  I have many loves-- reading, cooking, music, being outside, and hanging out with kids.  I find their joy and enthusiasm for life infectious and it is my heart's desire for each child to know the love of Jesus and to have a faith that helps them navigate through the ups and downs of life.

At the end of the day-- and most of them are hectic-- you can almost always find me curled up with a book.  Like music, I think reading a good book can touch us in ways that help us stay connected with who we really are and what is on our hearts.  I almost always have a recommendation on the tip of my tongue when someone asks.

It was in my ninth grade English class that I think I fell in love with writing.  As a pastor, I write sermons regularly, but in recent years it has given me joy to use my gift in other ways as well.  I started writing a column in our local paper about four years ago, and that has been a wonderful experience.  Each article I write is aimed at connecting faith and our daily lives.  You can find some of those articles and sermons under the Faith and Life tab on my homepage.  I am also in the process of publishing my first children's book and I am so excited to see that dream come to life.

Thanks again for stopping by.  I hope you'll come around often.

Blessings,
Kari
